A position with flexible hours by negotiation is available for an enthusiastic, friendly, qualified and capable Certificate IV Veterinary Nurse with a minimum of 12 months experience.
Our clinic is independently owned, family friendly and has been long established. This role can be part time to full time hours depending on your requirements as we understand the needs to balance work and personal life.
Rostered days will be between Monday – Friday 8am-6pm and some Saturdays will also be required from 8.30-12.30pm. There is also the occasional after hours call out.

This role is on a rotating roster with mainly surgical and medical nursing but also some receptionist duties at times.
We are a mixed practice so a farming or equine background would also be advantageous for this role however not crucial. We have a strong focus on providing a positive and supportive team with regular training sessions to improve skills and knowledge.

The ideal candidate should have:
– Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (Essential) with 12 months experience minimum
– A polite, efficient, calm, and resilient nature
– Excellent multi-tasking and prioritisation skills with the ability to remain calm in a crisis.

– Exposure to or experience using Ezyvet software would be advantageous

We are expanding, quite literally and whilst we can cover most of our additional shifts, we are looking for someone new to join our team to teach life saving swimming skills to our students!
If you don’t have any experience, have no fear, we will happily train you!
What you do need is the desire to want to work with children and be rewarded by being the one to teach them the skills to be safe in the water.
This role would be well suited to our local Mums or Dads who may just getting back into the workforce and are looking for something different to the corporate world or the local café. Maybe you are a swim teacher already and looking for a change of scenery and are wanting to dip your toes back in and join a boutique style swim school.
Having Saturday availability is a must (8.00am – 1.30pm each week – it’s only half a day) and we will also be able to provide you with an extra shift or two during the week on an ongoing basis.
The roster is permanent hours with the odd fill in shift if you have the availability and we don’t ever expect anyone to be rostered permanently on both weekend days!!
There are lots of perks in this job with ORCA Swim Schools which we can discuss at interview stage.
The next (close) AUSTSWIM course coming up is at Pakenham on 4 & 5 September or Warragul on 23 & 24 October and we’d love you to be able to join in on the fun and get your official qualification on one of these weekends (if you are not already a swim teacher)!
