Pegasus Food Co-op
Pegasus Food Co-op is a community food co-op that has been started to help our community to access food safely in these strange times by using our group power to order from companies that usually supply to restaurants and cafes.
Since the hospitality industry is ordering less, these suppliers are opening up to households, but most of them have large minimum buys that can make it difficult for individuals and families to order from them regularly.
By coming together as a group we can support local jobs with these suppliers and the farmers, butchers and other food companies that supply to them and also minimise supermarket trips for our own families and overcome the problems of supermarket food shortages and purchasing limits.
Once your order arrives you can then pick it up from Pegasus St (near John Henry Primary School) without needing to go to a crowded supermarket. In fact, if you live within walking distance you can pick up your order on your daily walk. You’ll find our weekly Fruit & Veg boxes and Staples boxes here in the online store as well as some special orders such as sanitiser when they are available.
To get the most benefit from the co-op it is best to join our Facebook group so you can have access to the albums to purchase pantry items, frozen & canned food, meat, cleaning products and more. You can join here – Pegasus Food Co-op
No money is being made off these items, this is purely to help us all have safe access to food during these difficult times. There is no cost to join the co-op and no obligation to buy with any round. This is to help the community as we are all in this together, so I will not be making a profit on items sold. Together we can stay safe, stay home and make friendships that last much longer than this virus.
